Club Info

The Westwood Table Tennis Club is a fun yet competitive club that welcomes both advanced and new players. It provides a place for advanced players to practice and for beginners to learn and have fun. Meetings are Thursdays Afternoons from 4:20-5:30! No experience is needed!

Singles

Players play to 11 points and play 3 games. Players switch sides after a game and whoever wins 2 games wins the match. Players switch serves every 2 serves.

Doubles
Players play to 11 points and play 3 games. Teams switch sides after a game and whoever wins 2 games wins the match. Players hit the ball alternately. For example if player A and player B are on the same team, and player A hits the first ball then player A cannot hit the ball again when the opponent returns. Player B must hit the second ball. The right side always serves and must serve to the opposite square or the server loses the point. After a player serves twice the (s)he switches positions with his/her team member and the server becomes the player that has been receiving the ball from the first server.

Rankings

There are weekly competitive singles matches for ranks to help people establish a sense of their skill level. Players are eligible for the ranking system as soon as they turn in their 5 dollar club dues. All new players start with a ranking of 100. Players can only play ONE ranking game per week. Officers can play multiple times. Ranking slips need to be complete with signitures and must be turned in to an officer. Only one slip is needed per game for both players (meaning one for every 2 people)
IMPORTANT!: Those concerned with rankings should come to every meeting and remember to sign in. People who don't do so will have points deducted from their ranks.

Dues

Dues are 5 dollars, please turn in your dues! The more money we have the better equipment we can buy.
